A JOURNEY TO CREATION
MEET CHA
Coming from a family of sewers in different generations, it's considered destiny that I carry on sewing for our lineage. I used to play with different creative tools available around me growing up. From my mom's retazos to my Dad's garage scraps, I find joy in recycling, upcycling, or stitching things up. Little did I know, that mere junk-hoarding will open my passion for creating my version of contemporary art through hand-embroidery and different handmade products.
Since the inception of Likha Manilenia in 2018, my goal never changed and will hopefully be embraced even more to preserve this rich Filipino legacy.
WHY I do what I do: To continue the Filipino craftsmanship by promoting the art of hand-embroidery and handmade products.
